Our Backdraft option can easily be added to an existing Denray downdraft table and allows you to blow-off accumulated dust and capture it in the internal filters!
OSHA looks for dust migration and they do not permit blowing off wood dust with an air compressor above 30 psi. They also state that the best option is to capture dust at the source it’s being created.
We do that well with our downdraft tables for the small particles you can’t see. Now with the backdraft option, your dust can also be collected through the larger opening in the back of the tabletop while working pulling the dust down, back, and away from the operators breathing zone. As for the larger dust particles that may accumulate on top of the table, you can blow-off the accumulated dust towards the backdraft allowing it to be pulled down into the filters.

Our backdraft option requires a replacement top that has been specifically designed to function with the backdraft and is very easy to add. We have designed the backdraft in 3’ – 4’ lengths to easily fit our 6’ – 8’ downdraft tables and keep shipping cost low. They can quickly be spliced together and added to the machine.
